I didn't realized how spending time in isolation impacted my interaction skills with others. After deciding to try this work, I discovered a way to train how I could better interact with people. - Steve Lee Ung

“My CUNY graduate class on public art and the city had the opportunity to take a workshop with Parcon Resilience (Aka Moving Rasa) in a public park in NYC this semester. The workshop delivered beyond all my expectations. My students were able to understand in an embodied, intellectual, and integrated experience what it means to be a body in public space. In fact, they understood what it meant to be their own individual body in public space. The workshop helped us understand the relationship between the internalized restrictions we impose on our behavior as city dwellers; and the external restrictions that are imposed on us by the built environment. This work will become an integral part of the class from now on.”

Breathe Again (A weekly Moving Rasa class) takes gentle and mindful movement to another level. Andrew’s presence as a teacher and guide offers participants comfort and support, so that we may learn how to do the same for our bodies. The thoughts and ideas Andrew offers in movement are eye-opening and bring us closer to the gift of knowing ourselves. When I had Covid symptoms, I felt deeply disconnected. Breathe Again has become important in my healing journey and helps me return to my body with presence and grace.

Power dynamics are shared and mutually agreed upon. No one is forced to connect but instead is invited to engage.  - Chandra Travis

As a movement form, Moving Rasa has the capacity to publicly expose and dismantle the limitations that society has imposed on our identities one collective exploration at a time.  It's ironic the very bodies which dehumanize us in the eyes of the powerful,  also serve as containers of the strength, resilience, ingenuity and creativity we use daily to thrive in environments that are often unjustly restrictive and oppressive. -Colleen Roche

"I am so grateful to have you and Moving Rasa in my orbit. Yesterday I was left with an such a profound feeling of joy and well-being. You are right, to explore and challenge my physicality in the environment in connection with others is truly transformative! " - Kimberly Tate

This work brings us back to our bodies and our inherent need for play and adventure.
