Through our programing, Moving Rasa aims to serve the community in 3 main ways:
-
Rediscovering Our Embodied Cultures and Histories:
Our bodies possess the profound ability to transmute unresolved facets of history for the collective good.
Together, we embark on journeys to diverse historical locales both internally and externally, engaging with them in a deeply resonant manner.
Through creative endeavors, we revisit these sites to rewrite narratives ensnared in energies of conflict, evasion, or fear, liberating them from stagnation and enabling their vital integration into the present. -
Empowering Survivors through Movement:
Sexual assault disrupts individuals' connections to their bodies, boundaries, and desires.
The Moving Rasa framework carefully supports survivors and their communities in reclaiming agency and connection.
By addressing foundational perceptions of movement and consciousness, survivors are witnessed in their entirety, facilitating reintegration and empowerment. -
Fostering Brotherhood through Men's Gatherings:
Men's circles provide a unique sanctuary for communal self-discovery and vulnerability.
In these spaces, individuals cultivate bonds of trust and intimacy through movement, recognizing it as a conduit for mutual understanding.
Moving Rasa gently guides men towards deeper sensory perception and intuitive attunement, with culturally specific spaces tailored to BIPOC, Southeast Asian, and Pacific Islander men.
