We Stand In Solidarity with Surviviors

Beyond Trauma: Moving Toward Collective Joy & Justice

The programming offered in Beyond Trauma is specially crafted to work with people who have experienced trauma. Part of our keystone programming thanks to the American Rescue Plan Grant from 2023-2025 is to work with AAPI Survivors of Sexual Assault in culturally specific ways. Moving Rasa is committed to working with communities to move through trauma in creative and careful ways. Our framework is highly adaptable and has created collective retreat spaces for BIPOC centered groups to work through traumas with such focuses as gender and sexual identity, disability justice, and aging gracefully.
Our Trauma Informed Care (TIC) model for survivors incorporates:

  • Crafting of safe spaces that facilitate healing and empowerment

  • Culturally responsive approaches to center BIPOC & API individuals and their allies that recognize how differences across race, class and culture can impact a survivor’s experience

  • Crisis support before, during and after all retreats to respond to the needs or concerns that may arise for participants and facilitators

Our work with survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence promotes healing and resilience building in participants who have experienced such trauma. Please see the insights and blog posts below to learn more about our impact.
