What
Moving Rasa Days in New York City are a chance to practice Moving Rasa to build community with like hearted people. Rasa is the Indonesian noun for a taste or essence as well as the verb for discerning feeling with the heart. This is a collective space where we all play with the tools and philosophy of Moving Rasa to engage in playful, meaningful interactions and dialogue. You do not have to have any experience in Moving Rasa to attend. Those with experience will support those with less experience.
NYC Moving Rasa Days will be curated to be an anti-racist space that is 2/3 BIPOC majority. Thus, if you are a white person hoping to attend, please include an easy way to contact you so we may confirm that there is space 24 hours prior.

Shared Film Tapestry
Currently Moving Rasa Days exist in the Bay Area and New York City. If you are interested in starting your own Moving Rasa Day please reach out to us for support! A great place to draw inspiration to start is from our Shared Film Tapestry that will be launching parallel to our Moving Rasa Days this November!
On Moving Rasa Day we invite all people in our broader community to use movement to explore how Rasa emerges as a noun and verb in a particular relationship. We are inviting folks to share in our film tapestry project! Submit a video of yourself engaging with the flora of the land you are on. We ask that your clips be no more than 5-10 seconds long and that you agree not to harm yourself, others or the place in your filming.
As part of our coordinating efforts we will be accepting submissions from all who are moved to share to be included in a Moving Rasa compilation for that month that will be posted on our feed to connect and inspire conversation and movement.
