Colleen Roche

Certified Community Resource Specialist, Consultant and Activist

Colleen is the co-founder of the New Jersey Disability Collective and board chair of both the Alliance Center for Independence and the New Jersey Statewide Independent Living Council.

Currently, she works as a program developer, certified community resource specialist and subject-matter expert at the intersection of disability and violence, public health and emergency preparedness. Her work centers on raising awareness of, and increasing access to, violence and abuse-related supports and services within the Disabled community.

For the last 20 years, she has served as a consultant throughout and beyond the state of New Jersey, regularly developing and delivering workshops, training and presentations. Active in her community, Colleen is a member of the Montclair People with Disabilities Committee, Montclair Film Access Committee and New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Violence’s Community Council.

A disabled activist and organizer, she is a Partners in Policymaking graduate and certified ADA Network Trainer.

In her free time she is an avid photographer, nature enthusiast and wanderer.
