Bhavya Chaudhary
Assistant Facilitator
Bhavya Chaudhary is the Prevention and Outreach Coordinator at the Hudson Speaks Program in Jersey City, New Jersey. She leads initiatives to prevent sexual violence, strengthen community engagement, and build supportive networks across Hudson County.
Through Moving Rasa, Bhavya discovered a profound connection to her own ‘rasa,’ learning how somatic practices can help dismantle internalized oppression and foster community across differences. This transformative journey deepened her understanding of self and informed her work in building dialogue and healing within diverse communities.
In collaboration with Moving Rasa, Bhavya worked to create safe spaces for the NYC Indian Dalit diaspora to share resilience and navigate caste apartheid through storytelling, improv, and reflective writing. Her approach blends trauma-informed principles, participatory design, and systems thinking to address complex societal issues.
Bhavya is deeply connected to her roots and works with communities in India and the USA to promote social justice, caste equity, gender equity, sustainable development, and cultural preservation.
